Our enthusiasm for this beautiful property – with its breathtaking ocean views, great retail mix and exceptional restaurants – was infectious. PR amped up the anticipation that led to hundreds of thousands of visitors opening weekend and record-breaking sales for retailers. The new Santa Monica Place truly was the talk of the town: from every local TV station in L.A.’s highly selective market to Jay Leno, alongside major features in the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. In all, more than 1,200 print and online news stories and 52 TV news segments lauded the project.
